Dear Readers,

I wanted to give a heartfelt thank you to all of those who have read my debut work, Augustin Station. I have been humbled at the success the book has had so far. When I put it out into the world, I was nervous to have such a personal story become so public, but I was comforted by the fact that most likely very few people would read it. Now, with it having reached so many, I’m happy to have put it out. I have received countless messages from others who resonated with my story, who saw themselves in those pages, and from those who said it helped them feel a little more seen.

Since I released it, I’ve been kicking around various ideas for the next story. One draft I’ve been playing around with is a gay historical fiction novel, based around the events of the Thai Popular Uprising of 1973. It follows an American expat living in Thailand who gets swept up in the protests against the militarily led government, and in the process falls for a local university student named Chai.

After hitting a proverbial wall in the midst of writing that one, I started another draft that is a follow-up to Augustin Station. I’m tentatively calling it “Circuit Breaker.” It picks up where Augustin Station left off. Owen is freshly out of the closet, and is just starting to explore his new life, when the pandemic strikes, bringing everything to a shrieking halt. It’s a bit of a pandemic love story, and will follow Owen’s initial exploration of the gay world, pausing life during lockdown, and eventually connecting with someone in the midst of it all.

At this point, I’m not sure which will come next. Whichever direction I end up going in, I’m hoping to have my next release ready to go by Spring 2026. I’m planning a bit of a quiet retreat to Malaysia next week to really lock in and get some good writing done. Regardless, I will keep you posted on the progress.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for following along on this journey with me!
